1. Who We Are

PromptQuo is operated by the team behind promptquo.com. For privacy-related questions or to exercise your rights, contact support@promptquo.com.

2. What We Collect and Why

We collect the minimum needed to score and coach your AI prompts:

We never store full conversation transcripts. Signal extraction happens locally in your browser before any data is transmitted.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser local storage for: keeping you signed in, remembering your sidebar preferences, and tracking whether you've dismissed certain banners. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or any cross-site tracker.

4. Third-Party Processors

We share data only with sub-processors strictly necessary to run the service:

Each sub-processor processes data under a written data processing agreement. For Optimize requests, your prompt text is sent to Google Gemini and returned to you; we do not retain it after the response.

5. International Data Transfers

Some processors are located in the United States. Where you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as the lawful transfer mechanism.

6. Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed from our database within 30 days. Backups may retain copies for up to an additional 30 days before being overwritten. Stripe retains transaction records as required by tax law (typically 7 years).

7. Your Rights

Regardless of where you live, you have the right to:

EU/UK residents may lodge a complaint with their data protection authority. California residents have the same rights under the CCPA/CPRA, plus the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell personal information.

8. Security

We use industry-standard practices: TLS in transit, encryption at rest via Supabase, Postgres Row Level Security so users can only read their own rows, server-side API keys never exposed to clients, and least-privilege access. Despite our efforts, no system is 100% secure. If we discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify you within 72 hours where legally required.

9. Children

PromptQuo is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app banner at least 14 days before they take effect.

Terms of Service

Last updated: June 1, 2026

These Terms work together with our Privacy Policy above, which explains what we collect and why.

1. Agreement

By installing the PromptQuo Chrome extension, creating an account, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The Service

PromptQuo is a Chrome extension and companion web application that scores AI prompts, offers coaching, and generates daily reports. We may add, modify, or remove features at any time.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old. By signing up, you represent that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide is accurate.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your password secure. You may not share your account, sublicense it, or use it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

6. Free and Paid Plans, Auto-Renewal, and Cancellation

The Free plan is offered at no cost with feature limitations described on our pricing page.

Pro subscriptions: Pro starts with a 14-day free trial. A valid payment method is required to start the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your card will be automatically charged the subscription fee at the end of the trial ($8.99/month for monthly, $83.99/year for yearly). The subscription then renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current rate until you cancel.

How to cancel: You can cancel at any time from your account dashboard (Settings → Manage Billing), through Stripe's customer portal, or by emailing support@promptquo.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you retain Pro access until then.

Pricing changes: If we change subscription pricing, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the new rate applies to your account. You may cancel before the new rate takes effect to avoid the change.

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. under the terms shown at checkout. Student pricing (50% off Pro) requires a valid .edu email address.

7. Refunds

If you are unhappy with Pro within 14 days of your first purchase, email support@promptquo.com and we will refund you in full.

8. Third-Party Services

PromptQuo runs on top of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and other AI platforms. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.

9. Intellectual Property

The PromptQuo brand, dashboard, extension code, and content are owned by us. You retain ownership of your prompts and conversations; we receive a limited license only to process them as needed to provide the service.

10. No Warranty and AI-Output Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.

AI-output disclaimer: PromptQuo's scoring (AI Efficiency and Brain Tracker), prompt rewrites (generated by Google Gemini), daily reports (generated by Anthropic Claude), and resource-impact estimates (water, energy, CO2) are produced using AI models and statistical priors. They are best-effort estimates, not measurements. Outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or contain errors. You should review any AI-generated output before acting on it and should not rely on PromptQuo's outputs for medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or other decisions where errors could cause harm. PromptQuo is not responsible for the content or outputs of the third-party AI platforms it works alongside (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.).

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify us against any claim arising from your misuse of the service or violation of these terms.

13. Termination

You may stop using PromptQuo and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to other users, our systems, or third parties. For paying subscribers, if we terminate your account without cause (i.e., absent a violation of these Terms), we will provide at least 30 days' written notice and a pro-rated refund of any prepaid, unused portion of your subscription.

14. Governing Law, Arbitration, and Class-Action Waiver

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

Arbitration. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, in Miami-Dade County, Florida (or by videoconference at your request). The arbitrator's decision is final and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Class-action waiver. You and PromptQuo each waive any right to bring or participate in a class action, class arbitration, collective action, or representative proceeding. Disputes must be brought in your individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member.

Exceptions. Either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court if it qualifies. Either party may also seek injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction in Florida for claims involving intellectual property, unauthorized access, or breach of confidentiality.

30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing support@promptquo.com within 30 days of creating your account, with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out" and your account email in the body. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.

15. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated at least 14 days in advance via email or in-app banner. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
